Custom Embroidery Services in Scottsdale, AZ | Pinnacle Prints & Embroidery
Embroidery is one of the oldest decoration methods in the world and it’s still the one people reach for when they want a classic, clean finish. There’s a reason a stitched logo on a polo reads differently than a printed one. It has weight to it (literally).
At Pinnacle Prints & Embroidery, we’ve been doing custom embroidery for businesses, teams, schools, and organizations across Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area for over 20 years. We handle everything from artwork review and digitizing to garment selection and production so what you get back looks the way you envisioned it.

When Embroidery Is the Right Call
Embroidery isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, but for the right application, it’s hard to beat. The stitched finish adds dimension and texture that other decoration methods can’t replicate, and the durability is unmatched. Thread doesn’t crack, fade, or peel the way printed ink eventually can.
Here’s where embroidery tends to shine:
- Structured garments – Polos, caps, and outerwear items like vests and quarter-zips are all natural fits for embroidery, as it performs best on items with more body and structure. For lightweight tees or designs with a lot of fine detail, we may steer you toward Flex Print instead (but we’ll tell you why).

- Uniforms and staff apparel – When your team needs to be in front of customers, clients, or the general public, the quality of their gear is part of the impression your brand makes. Embroidery is the professional standard for a reason, as it elevates the look while leaving a lasting impression.

- Promotional products – Embroidery can be a great option for personalizing or branding non-apparel items. Certain styles of items like bags, blankets, and other unique accessories for school, the office, traveling, and even the outdoors can all be embroidered for a custom, lasting finish.

How the Process Works
Artwork Review
Before anything goes into production, we look at your logo for stitch-ability. Fine lines, small text, and tight gradients don’t always translate well into thread, so catching things like that early saves everyone time. If your artwork needs adjustments, we’ll walk you through what and why.
Pro tip: Bold, clean shapes and legible text embroider best. If your logo has very fine details or tiny type, we may recommend slight modifications or suggest using the Flex Print method for that specific application.
Digitizing
Every embroidery job has to be digitized first, which means it needs to be converted into a stitch file that tells the machine exactly how to build your design. Stitch direction, density, and underlay (the foundation stitches that stabilize the design) all factor into the final result. This is where quality embroidery is really determined, and it’s something we take seriously.
Proof and Approval
You’ll always see a proof before production starts, and we don’t run the job until you’ve reviewed it and signed off. That step protects your timeline and makes sure the final product is exactly what you expected.
Production
Once the design is approved by you, we focus on getting every piece to come out the same, whether it’s a small run of 12 polos or a large run of 200 hats. Uniformity across an order is something we pay close attention to, especially for clients running ongoing uniform programs.
Who We Work With
Embroidery orders come from all kinds of clients. Here’s a snapshot of who we work with regularly:
Businesses and corporations building uniform programs, client gift apparel, or onboarding kits. Embroidered gear is a clear signal that a brand takes its presentation seriously.
Sports teams and schools that want coaching staff and administration to look the part. A sharp embroidered polo or jacket on the sideline carries more weight than people might expect.
Nonprofits and organizations that need their people to look credible and unified in front of the audiences that matter most.
Small groups and individuals who need a handful of pieces done right, whether it’s a custom gift, a small team, or a single item for a specific purpose.
Embroidery vs. Other Decoration Methods
Trying to figure out if embroidery is actually the right fit? Here’s how it stacks up against our other methods:
| Method | Best For | Detail Level | Minimum Qty | Finish | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Embroidery | Uniforms, polos, hats, premium apparel | Simple logos | 12+ | Elevated and textured | Excellent |
| Screen Printing | Bulk tees, fan apparel, event shirts | Medium | 12+ | Clean and classic | Excellent |
| Flex Print | Full-color designs, small runs, detailed artwork | High | 1 @ $25 | Sharp and detailed | Very Good |
Not sure which direction to go? That’s a normal place to start. We’d rather help you pick the right method than push you toward one that doesn’t serve the project.
What to Have Ready for a Quote
The more you can share upfront, the faster we can turn around an accurate quote:
- Quantity and garment type (or give us a general idea and we can work from there)
- Your artwork or logo (vector files are ideal, but send us whatever you have)
- Where you want the decoration (left chest, hat front, back yoke, etc.)
- Timeline or needed-by date
- Budget range, if that’s a factor
Don’t have all of it figured out? Not a problem. Most orders start somewhere in the middle of the planning process, and we’re used to filling in the gaps.
Frequently Asked Questions About Embroidery
What file format works best for my logo?
Vector files (like .AI, .EPS, or .PDF) give us the cleanest starting point. That said, we can work from high-resolution raster files too. Send us what you have and we’ll let you know if anything needs adjusting.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Embroidery minimums typically start at 12 pieces, though this varies by project. Reach out and we’ll give you an answer based on what you need.
Can you match my brand colors in thread?
We’ll get as close as the thread selection allows, using your brand color values as a reference. If exact color matching is a priority, flag that early so we can set the right expectations from the start.
What if my logo is too detailed to embroider well?
We’ll tell you before it becomes a problem. Some logos with fine lines or very small text need minor adjustments to stitch cleanly, and in some cases, our Flex Print method is genuinely the better option for that design. We’d rather give you an honest recommendation than produce something that falls short.
Will reorders match my original?
Yes. We keep your digitized file on record so future orders come out matching the first run. That’s especially useful for uniform programs or any situation where you’re adding pieces over time.
